Armenia’s independence celebrated in Brazil
It is already three days Armenian embassies and consular representations accredited in foreign countries have been holding impressive series of events celebrating Independence Day of the Republic Armenia.
Today the holiday was celebrated by the Armenian community of Brazil, reports the Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Foreign Ministry.
A jubilee reception was held in the Armenian Embassy in Brazil and in the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in Sao Paulo on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Armenia's Independence.
Present at the solemn event were federal deputies, governors, mayors, members of diplomatic corps, and heads of Brazil-based Armenian organizations and representatives of media.
Ashot Eghaziarian, Armenian Ambassador to Brazil, Diruhy Burmaian, Armenian Honorary Council to Sao Paulo, Ambassador Alfonso Masso delivered speeches.
The highlight of the event was the performance of Armenian and Brazilian anthems by the orchestra of the Armed Forces.
