A1+ talked to detainees
Head of the Gyumri-based Journalists Club Asbarez Levon Barseghyan, who was detained earlier in the day in downtown Yerevan, has been in the police station for an hour and a half.
"Perhaps, they are waiting for the parade to end because we protested against involvement of Russian troops in the parade dated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence," Barseghyan told A1+ on the phone.
Levon Barseghyan and artist Arno Kar were detained today morning when staging a protest march against the participation of the Russian 102nd military unit in the military parade. They were taken to the Police Kenton Department.
The detainees refuse to speak to policemen without an attorney.
