RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan received the delegation led by Europe's chief envoy for negotiations over the Armenia-European Union Associated Agreement, Gunar Vigand.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon a number of issues related to Armenia-EU relations and praised the current rhythm of bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, the sides discussed in detail the current process of negotiationsi over the Associated Agreement and recapped the achievements made from 2010 to this day. In that regard, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and Gunar Vigand stated that Armenia has made notable achievements in the four main platforms included in the Associated Agreement thanks to consistent efforts.

The foreign minister underlined that negotiations have been led for economic, field and financial cooperation and 18 chapters of the future agreement have been closed during the negotiations.

Edward Nalbandyan and Gunar Vigand discussed in detail the efforts in different formats of the cooperation, outlined the steps to be taken, exchanged views on the negotiations over the Associated Agreement, the facilitation of the entrance visa regime and the creation of a free and comprehensive trade zone, reports the MFA press service.
