Serzh Sargsyan awards MPs
A reception was held today in the yard of Armenian Parliament with the participation of deputies of all convocations.
Serzh Sargsyan congratulated Armenian deputies on the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence, expressing regret for absentees. He meant Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and others who refused to participate in the festive event.
The Armenian leader also handed over awards to some deputies.
David Harutyunyan was awarded First Class Medal for his contribution to the homeland. Deputies Vardan Ayvazyan, Ruzanna Arakelyan, Volodya Badalyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Rustam Gasparyan, Ruben Gevorgyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Vazgen Karakhanyan, Hermine Naghdalyan, Artyush Shahbazyan, Galust Sahakyan, Mikael Vardanyan, Gagik Minasyan and Gegham Gharibjanyan, Head of the National Assembly Staff, were awarded with Mkhitar Gish medals.
