Serzh Sargsyan hands over awards to Diaspora Armenians
By decrees of Armenian President, a number of Diaspora Armenians were given high state awards of the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence.
Part of the awards was handed over during today's reception at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan.
Archbishop Suren Gataroyan (Lebanon) and Varuzhan Voskanyan (Romania) were awarded Movses Khorenatsi medals for their contribution to the preservation of national identity and reinforcement of friendship between Armenia and foreign countries.
Albert Boyajyan (USA) and Vahe Karapetyan (USA) received Medals of honor for the contribution to the protection of national interests, for the servicesRep to the ublic of Armenia, for their long patriotic and productive activity.
