The terrorists involved in the "October 27" case, who invaded the parliament and took the lives of 9 state officials under Nairi Hunanyan's leadership in 1999, have decided to appeal to the court with the request to reconsider their court rulings. The court had primarily sentenced to them to life in prison.

Nairi and Karen Hunanyan have already appealed to the court and have been denied. Their attorney, Tigran Grigoryan today told "A1+" that only after submitting their appeal did Nairi and Karen Hunanyan call him to represent their interests in court.

"They had asked the court to make their sentencing correspond to the amendments made in the RA Criminal Code on May 23, 2011, that is, to make their death sentencing 20 years. No matter how much I petitioned that there is no such thing in the law, the prosecutor objected. The court denied the Hunanyans' appeal, mentioning that they had committed a crime that was dangerous to society and that the court had reached an adequate verdict," said Tigran Grigoryan, adding that he had met with Nairi Hunanyan and that he was in normal condition.

One of the terrorists, Edik Grigoryan is also preparing to appeal to the court with the same request. His attorney is Karen Aghajanyan, who told "A1+" that accepting as a basis that the maximal punishment for murder according to the Criminal Code is 20 years and that Edik Grigoryan had appealed to the court, he still hadn't received any notice from the court.

Although the court has already denied the Hunanyans' appeal, Edik Grigoryan's attorney thinks the court will go a little easier on his client. "Edik Grigoryan played less of a role than did the Hunanyans and I don't rule out that the court will uphold his appeal. I have a three percent hope." Edik Grigoryan's attorney Karen Aghajanyan also met his client and informed that Edik Grigoryan was in normal condition and had no complaints.
