After hearing one or two speeches by Serzh Sargsyan, German-Armenian PR expert Vazrik Basil said it was "at least comprehensible".

"I don't know how he speaks in Armenia, but foreigners can listen to them. He speaks calmly and clearly. Those are small, but quite important points. I don't have great objections," the PR expert said during a press conference.

Doctor of philosophical sciences, Vazrik Basil writes speeches for high-ranking German officials and is currently in Armenia to read lectures at the invitation of Peoplemeter. During today's press conference, he advised Armenian officials and their speech writers to pay attention to each letter. He noted that the contacts between the Armenian authorities and foreign diplomats in Armenia are not too good and that Armenian officials are not always aware of the culture of the given country that they visit.

The PR expert mentioned that he does see positive changes in Armenian offiicals' attitudes.

"I have contacts with Armenian ministers and I must say that their attitudes have changed. They have started treating their jobs more seriously and have changed their views on the Diaspora as well," said Basil.

In the end, he blamed Armenians for not creating a new culture to present themselves to the world. According to him, they have to look at the past in a new way, and that is the most important guarantee for success.

"We Armenians always take pride in the fact that we are an ancient nation. Let's say Adam and Eve were Armenian. So what? It is a matter of how you treat what is old. Armenians don't worship traditions, but dead bodies since they always live in the past," said Basil and advised to make more investments in education, not construction.
