Lilit Hovhannisyan named best female vocalist
Armenian singer Lilit Hovhannisyan was named the best female vocalist at the Golden Talent 2011 international music contest held in Batumi, Georgia.
Hovhannisyan also received the jury's special prize. She won the fifth place in the music contest. Moldova won the first prize followed by Georgia.
The competition features best performers from 18 countries of the world. On the second day of the contest, Lilit Hovhannisyan was the only participant to perform a capella. She presented a famous song [This Night] by Armenian composer Komitas.
Commenting on the contest, Ervand Yerznkyan, artistic director of Public TV Symphonic Orchestra expressed admiration at the singer's boldness and excellent performance.
