Crisis affected "Miss Armenia" beauty contest
After four years' hiatus, "Miss Armenia" beauty contest will be held in Yerevan on October 10-15.
Head of the organizational committee Mamikon Danielyan says the interval was conditioned by the global financial crisis. "Miss Armenia" agency has faced numerous financial problems during these years.
The agency has received about 100 applications from the capital and provinces. 22-24 girls under 24 can participate in the contest if they meet the required measurements (90-60-90).
"They only need to be diligent. Upright posture and correct walking have nothing to do with person's gifts," said Danielyan, excluding corruption risks at the beauty contest.
