More details emerge on soldier’s death
In the morning of September 7, Armenian serviceman Hayk Mkrtchyan died from a gunshot wound while on military duty in a in a military base in Askeran.
Mkrtchyan died from the shots fired by serviceman Lendrush Nazlukhanyan, in violation of the rules for handling weapons, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
A criminal case has been filed in the investigation service of the Defense Ministry under Article 373 (Part 3) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
The 19-year-old soldier was recruited from Etchmiadzin.
