Margar Ohanian taken to court
Chief of Armenia's traffic police Margar Ohanian is currently in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan's Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts, where Judge Armen Bektashyan is supposed to decide his preventive punishment.
Ohanian was arrested on Tuesday in a criminal investigation into a large-scale embezzlement and abuse of power. Serzh Sargsyan formally relieved him of his duties the next day.
The former traffic police official is said to have appropriated 57 million dram petrol.
