More people to be arrested in soldier’s murder case
There aren't any new detainees in connection with the non-combat death of conscript Aghasi Abrahamyan who died on August 26 after being hospitalized from his army unit deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
A soldier and an officer from the same military unit were arrested Wednesday in a criminal investigation into the mysterious death. Earlier, it was reported that three people were arrested in connection with Abrahamyan's death.
Talking to A1+, Spokesman for the Defense Ministry David Karapetyan said more people would be detained in the murder case
"Dozens of people are questioned every day. A great amount of work is being done to identify and punish the guilty people," said Karapetyan.
The ministry spokesman did not mention the names of detainees in order to ensure the safety of their family members.
