HAK demands recognition of Libya’s new government
Statement by the Armenian National Congress (HAK)
"Another dictatorship fell based on the standards and logic of history, particularly the latest period, and this time it was in Libya. The people of Libya were compelled to do that through a bloody, persistent struggle since the established dictatorial regime had received the opportunity to use the country's resources for strengthening and keeping power in the long run and become deprived of the ability to perceive and come to terms. After the events in Tunisia and Egypt, Libya had the opportunity to have a legitimate government, establish democracy and become a legal state with a free society for the benefit of each citizen. Regardless of how it is implemented, all nations of the world have that inviolable right.
The Armenian National Congress welcomes the Libyans' victory and demands that Armenia officially recognize the new Libyan government."
