"We will follow ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan's instructions in choosing how we will participate in Armenia's inter-political processes, particularly the ANC rally to be held on September 9," head of the "People's Power" non-governmental initiative Zoya Tadevosyan told "A1+".

Let us remind that after the ANC's rally on April 28, Zoya Tadevosyan and a group of supporters were preparing to hold a sitting strike at Freedom Square, but ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan had convinced them to leave the square.

"I did that after the ANC leader's statement on a split during the rally on April 28 and we psychologically ready for a confrontation. Then, Levon Ter-Petrosyan called on us to be reserved since we had to wait for the developments of events in relation to the release of political prisoners," Mrs. Tadevosyan said.

Mrs. Tadevosyan says even though the ANC's dialogue with the ruling coalition is pending, political confrontation is less likely in Armenia.

"The current state of the society, when the political, social-economic and moral-psychological state can lead to devastating consequences, serve as a basis to express certainty that there is a need to change the current authorities that are led by their personal interests," Tadevosyan said, adding that she and her supporters fully rely on First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan's experience and believe that he will "definitely find the right path."
