“Don’t play with the people’s patience”
HAK coordinator Levon Zurabyan also gave a speech at Freedom Square. He told the people that all the goals are being achieved step-by-step thanks to their courage and persistence.
"We finally did what seemed impossible a month ago. We made the authorities sit down at a table with an agenda for Armenia's democratization," said Levon Zurabyan, adding that the dialogue is a great victory and that the HAK has had two important achievements in two stages.
"After the first "round", the authorities upheld the Congress's demand that the governmental delegates had to represent the government and Serzh Sargsyan in person. After the second "round", the authorities officially agreed to discuss the issue of forming a legitimate government in Armenia through snap presidential and parliamentary elections," said Zurabyan.
Zurabyan mentioned that the HAK will present the entire process, and may make decisions on positions with the people.
Levon Zurabyan mentioned that the authorities are facing two clear alternatives and they have to make the decision that it is better to cede. Zurabyan says the authorities are doing everything possible to discredit the Congress in front of the society until September, and the media and political parties are supporting them.
"Don't play with the people's patience. Solve all issues through dialogue, if you don't want to see social upheaval in September," Levon Zurabyan advised the authorities.
He wished everyone a victory in September, and said the only way of reaching that is a struggle.
