“ARF ministers were the most corrupt”
Armenian National Congress (HAK) representative Vladimir Karapetyan says the ARF doesn't have any right to accuse HAK.
Head of the ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan told "A1+" that the goal of the HAK-authorities dialogue is to implement real reforms in the country.
"We shouldn't forget that the ARF formed a part of government for 11 years, and the ARF government officials were the most corrupt and weakest officials. Through its acts, the ARF showed what kind of contribution it has made to Armenia's development, particularly healthcare and social security."
Vladimir Karapetyan finds that the ARF hasn't changed its position on inter-political issues after proclaiming itself the opposition. "HAK has been fighting against these authorities for three years and has achieved success to a certain extent."
Mr. Karapetyan also touched upon the launch of the HAK-authorities dialogue, today's rally at Freedom Square and assured that nothing had changed. The authorities didn't fulfill their promise and the doors of television stations are still closed for the HAK. "We had provided the advertisement to all television stations, but none aired it."
Only "Yerkir Media" responded to the HAK, mentioning that it wouldn't air the advertisement because it was offended by Levon Ter-Petrosyan after the latter refused to give an interview to "Yerkir Media".
Mr. Karapetyan doesn't consider the viewpoint that the number of HAK supporters has decreased after dialogue with the authorities serious. "People have been expressing such false viewpoints against the HAK for the past three and a half years. It doesn't correspond to the reality. We are meeting our objectives and making the authorities fulfill the people's demands."
How will the weather have an impact on today's HAK rally? In response, Vladimir Karapetyan said: "It will have an impact, but the most loyal with health problems will participate in the rally."
