Armenian National Congress (HAK) central office representative Nikol Pashinyan today clearly presented what will happen if the HAK-authorities dialogue is not followed by snap elections in the country.

"The people imposed today's dialogue in Armenia. If it becomes impossible to hold snap elections through dialogue, the HAK won't have anything else to negotiate and will do something at Freedom Square," said Pashinyan.

Nikol Pashinyan views the HAK delegates in dialogue with the authorities as delegates of Freedom Square. He underlined that the HAK has clearly expressed its position, that is, snap presidential and parliamentary elections and that the HAK is not preparing to make concessions.

As for HHK representative Gagik Minasyan's statement that the authorities will manage to convince the HAK that there is no need for snap elections through dialogue, Nikol Pashinyan said: "That was a good joke."

Nikol Pashinyan also clarified his words in "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily newspaper's editorial, saying that "we are making the authorities step down through an attack". He first clarified that the attack would be without any arms and mentioned that the people liberated Freedom Square through an attack. "If the people stand united as one just like they did on March 17, all doors, including those of the presidential residence and the parliament will open. There is no force that can resist civil activism. Our weapon is the people's trust in our struggle. Nothing can stand in the people's way," said Pashinyan.

These days Nikol Pashinyan is holding meetings with some HAK members, assuring them that 95 percent of the population is for change of power.

Nikol Pashinyan also touched upon sociologist Aharon Adibekyan's statement that the authorities didn't shoot at the people on 1 March 2008, but a crowd of 10,000 people. "If there are 10,000 people anywhere, according to Aharon Adibekyan, the government should shoot at those people, not to mention what they will do if they catch us alone."

Nikol Pashinyan has no hope that the events of March 1 and the murders of the 10 victims will be revealed during this government's term. "When the HAK finally reached the point where the authorities officially announced that the page of March 1 has not been turned over, that didn't mean that the HAK expected that the investigative group headed by Vahagn Harutyunyan was going to reveal the events of March 1. To reveal those events, it is first necessary to reveal the crime of not revealing March 1."

According to Pashinyan, if the Armenian government ever tries to falsify elections by beating and shooting at the people again, "it is very clear that the people will beat and drag the government out of this country".
