"We were actually very close to success in Kazan," Serzh Sargsyan said today during a joint press conference with President of Poland Bronislav Komorovski.

"Everyone must respect the Karabakhi people's legitimate right to be the owner of its fate, have guarantee of security and develop in its historical homeland. There is no other solution," Serzh Sargsyan underlined. Commenting on Ilham Aliyev's statements regarding the Armenian people, Serzh Sargsyan said: "Would a normal person make such a statement, not to mention the head of state?"

Touching upon Armenian-Polish relations, he mentioned: "Armenia views Poland as a friendly country, a reliable partner and, most importantly a country that bears universal values, and the friendship built on those values is unbreakable."

Bronislav Komorovski is in Armenia on an official visit at the invitation of Serzh Sargsyan. This morning, the President of Poland visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Then, the official reception for the high-ranking guests took place at the RA presidential residence, followed by the two presidents' private talks and the talks held in a wide format with the participation of the official delegations.

The meeting was followed by the signing of documents for the development of bilateral cooperation. The RA Government and the Government of the Republic of Poland signed a 2011-2013 action plan for cooperation in culture, education and science; a memorandum on cooperation between the RA First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Poland's chief veterinarian and a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding between the Armenian Development Agency and the Information and Foreign Investments Agency of Poland.
