Payment terminal at passport division
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today visited the Ashtarak Passport Division of the Department of Passports and Visas of the RA Police. After the reopening ceremony of the division equipped with new, state-of-the-art equipment, RA Chief of Police Alik Sargsyan accompanied the head of government as he toured the passport division and got acquainted with the division's conditions and citizens' service.
The newly opened passport division has an electronic payment terminal that accepts payments of state fees, administrative fines and other payments and has helped speed up service. The division also has new computers to make service for citizens more civilized, efficient and transparent.
Now citizens will be served according to their needs without any hassle.
The reforms will increase the level of service and will rule out corruption risks. The Department of Passports and Visas of the RA Police invested 11 million drams for renovation and technical rearmament from its extra budget.
Let us mention that the preparations for capital construction of the new building of the passports division of the PV department are underway.
