Won't Turkey and Azerbaijani participate at Junior Eurovision 2011?

Twelve countries have applied to participate in the Junior Eurovision 2011 which will be held in the Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex in Yerevan on December 3.

The countries are Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, San Marino, Sweden and Ukraine.

Azerbaijan and Turkey have not yet submitted applications for the song contest.The participation of Bulgaria and Greece is still under consideration.
Totally, 500 delegates are expected to arrive in Armenia in December to attend the junior song contest.

The logo of the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Context is already known. It represents equalizer bars in the shape of a mountain.

Executive producer of the song contest, Levon Simonyan says they are working with a number of organisations, including Swedish HDR New Sources.

«In Septmeber we shall present the general scheme of the event with main decorations and accessories,» said producer Grigor Nazaryan.

The organisers promise numerous surprises during the show.

The deadline for applications is August 20.

The Armenian entrant at Junior Eurovision 2011 will be elected at a contest to be held in September. TV viewers will have an opportunity to participate in a TV voting.

Armenia's entrant Vladimir Arzumanyan  became the winner of the Junior Eurovision 2010 in Minsk.
