OSCE MG Chairs will not travel to Karabakh
NKR President Bako Sahakyan cannot receive the OSCE Minsk Group mediators as he is on a short-term leave, NKR President's Spokesman David Babayan told A1+.
The NKR official does not think that the change in the visit agenda could influence on the Karabakh peace talks.
"We cannot witness serious changes in the talks unless Azerbaijani reconsiders its policy and resigns its maximalist demands. Azerbaijan wants the Karabakh issue to be resolved the way it was settled in 1921. That will never happen," said Babayan.
Speaking about Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's statement on holding a referendum in Karabakh, NKR President's Spokesman said, "During the referendum Armenians of Artsakh will vote to remain in the territory of Azerbaijan since it will benefit Azerbaijanis."
"Mammadyarov's words speak about his cynicism and mental imbalance. Artsakh will never be a part of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan had better recognize Artsakh's independence today," said Babayan.
