When will the 10 murders be revealed?
Head of the Special Investigative Service group leading an investigation into the "March 1" case Vahagn Harutyunyan says the latest YouTube videos showing the events of 1-2 March 2008 haven't contributed to the preliminary investigation.
"There were scenes in which the commentaries had nothing to do with what was being shown. The same goes for Samvel Harutyunyan's case. They say he was executed, but he didn't receive an armed injury at all," Vahagn Harutyunyan told "A1+".
"A1+" asked Mr. Harutyunyan why the group interrogated Armenian National Congress (HAK) member Avetis Avagyan, who posted the videos on March 1 on his YouTube page. After all, it doesn't matter who posted them. In response, Mr. Harutyunyan said: "Nobody said the videos aren't important. The important thing is who posted them. Every little detail is important. The goal is to identify new videos and put an end to unnecessary commentaries and speculations."
Let us remind that Serzh Sargsyan had assigned law-enforcement bodies to reveal the events of 1-2 March 2008, particularly the 10 murders. Has there been any progress made after his assignment? In response, Mr. Harutyunyan said: "I have provided detailed information during all the meetings, and everyone will be kept updated from now on as well."
The fact is that nobody has been brought to justice for at least one of the 10 murders in the past three and a half years. "A1+" asked Mr. Harutyunyan whether the 10 murders would ever be revealed. "It is impossible to predict that they won't be revealed during the preliminary investigation. Operative measures will continue as long as the events remain unrevealed."
