Baku is studying Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's proposals presented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said on Saturday.

"We will give our answer after a close and through study," said the Azerbaijani FM.

Mammadyarov noted the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs understand that the status quo is unacceptable and it's time for Armenia to withdraw its troops from "the occupied territories of Azerbaijan."

"Today, the conflicting parties are working on a document that is based on the updated Madrid Principles, and Armenia should understand that this work should be continued without emotion," he said.

Mammadyarov called on Yerevan not to engage in PR in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and seriously deal with the conflict resolution.

Dmitry Medvedev prepared a message for Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, following the Kazan-hosted trilateral presidential meeting. The message includes proposals on the visions of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.
On July 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Aliyev and Sargsyan to convey the message of the Russian President.
