On 7 July President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree releasing Georgy Petrosyan from the post of the Artsakh Republic foreign minister according to his own request.

Responsibilities of the NKR foreign minister were temporarily assigned to deputy foreign minister Vassily Atajanyan.

According to another Presidential decree signed on the same day Georgy Petrosyan was appointed a consultant to the Artsakh Republic President taking into consideration the 3rd subparagraph of the 17th clause of NKR President's Office statute.
