Ministers exchange documents
During the official visit to Moscow, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and his Russian counterpart also discussed programs for deepening economic partnership during the official visit to Moscow.
According to the MFA press release, the sides touched upon the activities of the Armenian-Russian inter-governmental commission in Don-na-Rostov and mentioned with content that last year's intensive work has helped the circulation of products exceed the level before the crisis, and that this year's level instills optimism.
Giving a good evaluation of the results of the first Armenian-Russian inter-regional forum held in Yerevan in April this year, Edward Nalbandyan and Sergey Lavrov mentioned the importance of expanding and deepening the decentralized cooperation. The Armenian and Russian foreign ministers touched upon issues related to development of cooperation in the sphere of humanitarianism and agreed to develop a comprehensive agreement in this sphere.
After the meeting, Edward Nalbandyan and Sergey Lavrov signed the protocol on exchanging the documents of Protocol N5 on making amendments in the agreement "On a Russian military base in the territory of the Republic of Armenia between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation" signed on 16 March 1995.
Minister Nalbandyan also met with representatives of Armenian community organizations. During the meeting, the minister discussed issues related to Armenia's foreign policy and the steps being taken to solve those issues.
