“Not much time left for the authorities”
In his speech, Armenian National Congress (HAK) coordinator Levon Zurabyan blamed the authorities for delaying the dialogue and warned them that they didn't have much time.
"We won't let them trick the people. We won't let them keep us in uncertainty in regard to the dialogue. You (the authorities-ed.) have very little time. After your time is up, the people will unite and will stay as long as it takes for you to step down from power," Zurabyan announced.
Zurabyan's announcement inspired the participants, after which Nikol Pashinyan announced: "The clock is ticking."
The HAK coordinator noted that the authorities fulfilled their demands under the movement's pressure, but they still have hope of winning time in order to weaken and split the HAK.
"When the country's authorities announce that the only way of preventing a revolution is to encourage emigration, they are also announcing their verdict," said Zurabyan and continued: "This regime is incapable of fixing the situation with its internal resources because that is only possible by destroying the oligarchs, which is impossible for them to do. That is why the pan-national process must begin as soon as possible."
