“We must impose snap elections”
Leader of the People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan is more than certain that there is only one way of bringing the country out of the current situation.
"Our demand is clear. We must hold new presidential and parliamentary elections. This is the only way of bringing the country out of this swamp," Demirchyan announced at Freedom Square.
Continuing his speech, he said: "If not, it turns out that they can falsify elections and then talk about civilized dialogue and the formation of a new political culture. They say there are no grounds for new elections, and this comes from the government whose policy is leading to emigration. The country is in a devastating state."
Stepan Demirchyan asked the authorities why they seized power and why they are clinging to that power.
According to him, there is no ground or reason to put up with this government and doesn't have any hope for the HAK-authorities dialogue.
"The issue will be solved if there is social demand and activism. We must impose snap elections together as a society."
