Statement by "Sardarapat" Movement

"The subsequent meeting for the Artsakh conflict resolution in Kazan is orchestrated by an unprecedented rise of foreign pressure. The negotiating forces are trying to make the Armenian side accept the principles of resolution that run contrary to Armenia's interests, which may lead to the loss of the homeland and the presence of foreign military forces in Artsakh.

Pursuing the interests of their respective countries in this region, the Minsk Group co-chairing countries are once again trying to get as many concessions as they can from Armenia and violate the existing status-quo, which will drastically change the tactics and strategic steps of certain force centers in relation to conflict resolution and will lead to the emergence of a great danger of the restart of war.

By declaring war threats, the regime of Baku is trying to get concessions from Armenians and forgets that Azerbaijan was the one that asked to sign a ceasefire agreement on May 12, 1994. The lack of the Armenian authorities' legitimacy increases the latter's vulnerability and the defeat in the Artsakh conflict resolution, and the international community and Baku make that as grounds during the negotiations. The potential of all Armenians, the Armenians' willingness to defend the homeland, a system of state administration that is hinged on morality and justice and legitimate authorities are the main guarantees that will prevent and abort any plan to alienate a part of the Armenians' homeland.

The "Sardarapat" Movement and its supporters are principled and determined to suspend any action aimed at bargaining the homeland, rule out the presence of any foreign military force in Artsakh, are willing to contribute to the multifaceted development of the liberated Artsakh through all Armenians' potential, the establishment of Artsakh as a juridical-political state and an inseparable part of Armenia, and for that consider the functioning of the Armenian state and the consolidation of all Armenians around the world the most important guarantee."
