455 prisoners amnestied
As the public relations division of the Penitentiary Department of the RA Ministry of Justice reports, the MJ Penitentiary Service on May 27 started releasing prisoners by the amnesty declared in light of the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence and reducing their sentencing.
On June 16, the MJ penitentiaries released 455 prisoners and reduced 54 prisoners' sentencing.
The following is a list of amnestied prisoners and those whose sentencing was reduced according to the penitentiaries:
"Nubarashen": 53 released, 4 with reduced sentencing,
"Erebuni": 107 released, 8 with reduced sentencing,
"Vardashen": 31 released, 1 with reduced sentencing,
"Prisoners' Hospital": 26 released, 3 with reduced sentencing,
"Yerevan Kentron": 0 (no prisoners subject to release),
"Artik": 43 released, 3 with reduced sentencing,
"Vanadzor": 17 released, 8 with reduced sentencing,
"Sevan": 52 released,
"Hrazdan": 23 released,
"Abovyan: 2 released, 12 with reduced sentencing,
"Goris": 11 released, 9 with reduced sentencing,
"Kosh": 90 released, 6 with reduced sentencing.
The release by amnesty and reduction of sentencing continue.
