In the 15th international environmental television festival "Save and Preserve" (Спасти и сохранить), held in Khanty-Mansiysk from June 7-10, films made by the SunChild Eco-club members between 2009 and 2010 took part in the competition.

In the category "Children and Youth Program" the winner was the Noratus SunChild Eco-club with its documentary movie entitled "The Way of Water". The 20 minutes film is about the river Gavaraget, which originates from Geghama Mountains, crosses through Lanjaghbyur, Sarukhan communities, and Gavar city, and finally flows into Lake Sevan at Noratus communty.

The springs of Gavaraget are crystal clear and a mountain shepherd tells that it is even possible to drink the river's water. But already after passing the first village Gavaraget becomes polluted and turns into a garbage dump. While crossing through the villages, the river is becoming more and more infected. By accumulating waste and sewage on its way from village to village, it flows into Sevan Lake, harming the lake and all living organisms in it.

The film is produced by the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and explores the fate of an initially pure river from its spring to the estuary. A river destroyed by human indifference and neglect.

Script + directing: Babken Karapetyan, Gegham Karapetyan, Tsovinar Hakobyan (Noratus SunChild Eco-club members)/ Camera operator: Sirakan Abroyan/ Montage: Nune Hovhannisyan.
