France’s involvement is important

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan met Head of the General Department for Continental Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, Filip Le'For, who is in Armenia to participate in the consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of both countries, reports the MFA press service.

Greeting the guest, the foreign minister expressed content with the high-level Armenian-French relations and intensive contacts, underlining that that creates a favorable field for further strengthening and expansion of multifaceted cooperation between both countries.

During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon issues related to the development of bilateral ties, as well as regional and international issues of bilateral interest.
Both sides attached importance to further strengthening of cooperation in the economic and cultural spheres, as well as in the inter-parliamentary and decentralized formats.

The sides discussed Armenia-European Union relations, particularly several issues related to the current stage of negotiations on an associated agreement between Armenia and the European Union.

During the discussions on a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Minister Nalbandyan stressed France's positive impact as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
