“Haykakan Zhamanak”’s appeal denied

The Civil Court of Appeals today denied the appeal filed by "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily newspaper.

Three MPs had filed an appeal against the newspaper's publisher "Dareskizb" LTD and demanded 6 million drams.

The appeal was upheld by the first instance court.

Let us remind that MP businessmen Samvel Alexanyan, Levon Sargsyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan had considered the information published in an article on October 14, 2010 as information that distorted their fame and honor.

The appeals court's decision can be appealed at the Cassation Court within 30 days.

None of the sides was present at the moment the verdict was announced.
