Serzh Sargsyan is to decide the format of negotiations
The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) has not decided the delegation team to start a dialogue with the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK).
"It is Serzh Sargsyan's privilege to decide the format of our participation, should such negotiations ever take place," HHK Spokesman Edward Sharmazanov told A1+.
Commenting on HAK's demand to hold early elections in Armenia, Edward Sharmazanov said, "We have repeatedly said that there are no legal and political grounds for snap parliamentary or presidential elections in the country."
At the same time, the HHK Spokesman stressed that all issues should be settled through a dialogue.
"Non-civilized attitude of political forces is inadmissible for us. The relations between the opposition and authorities should aim at developing democratic values in the country, which cannot be reached without the atmosphere of tolerance, cooperation and dialogue," said Sharmazanov.
Yesterday, HAK formed a 5-person delegation to participate in the dialogue with the authorities. The delegation led by HAK Coordination Levon Zurabyan includes Davit Shahnazaryan, Vahagn Khachatryan, Felix Khachatryan and Samvel Abrahamyan.
