358 amnestied
The penitentiaries of the RA Ministry of Justice have released 358 prisoners, while 5 prisoners now have a shorter time in prison, reported Head of the Division for Public Relations of the Penitentiary Department at the RA Ministry of Justice, Arsen Babayan.
The numbers of released prisoners and prisoners with shorter time in prison since the May 27 amnesty are presented according to the penitentiaries:
"Nubarashen": 33 released
"Erebuni": 84 released
"Vardashen": 30 released, 1 with shorter time
"Prisoners' Hospital": 23 released, 1 with shorter time
"Yerevan Center": 0 (no prisoners subject to release)
"Artik": 35 released
"Vanadzor": 14 released
"Sevan": 40 released
"Hrazdan": 17 released
"Abovyan": 1 released, 3 with shorter time
"Goris": 11 released
"Kosh": 70 released
The release of prisoners by amnesty and the reduction of their time in prison continue. The division for public relations of the penitentiary department will keep the public updated on the number of prisoners released and those with shorter time in prison.
