“There will be a velvet revolution in Armenia”
ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan also spoke at the rally and congratulated all participants on the release of the political prisoners.
"Today we must ask ourselves a very important question: can we really consider all demands met and start the dialogue? Although there are still two political prisoners, they will be released in June," said Levon Zurabyan, referring to Murad Bojolyan and Sargis Hatspanyan.
Zurabyan informed that the two political prisoners have sent letters to the ANC, asking the latter not to wait for their release.
"They wrote that they wouldn't want their imprisonment to become a barrier for dialogue. We respect their demands for speedy changes in the country," said Levon Zurabyan. He asked the people for their desire, to which the rally participants screamed "yes".
Levon Zurabyan said the start of dialogue would mark the beginning of a "velvet revolution" in Armenia.
