Nalbandyan met with Lukashenko
On May 31, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan participated in the session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Minsk.
The session of the ministerial council was inaugurated in a narrow format and continued with the participation of delegations.
During the session, the foreign ministers discussed the activities for coordinating the foreign policies of CSTO-member states, the CSTO's cooperation with regional and international organizations and other issues related to the organization's activities.
The foreign ministers of CSTO-member states discussed the implementation of the decisions adopted by the Collective Security Council in December 2010, touched upon global developments and the functioning of existing mechanisms for coordination within the framework of the CSTO.
The council's agenda included issues related to the CSTO peacekeeping forces' activities, as well as the draft plan for holding consultations between CSTO-member states on foreign policy, security and defense issues.
After the session, the foreign ministers of CSTO-member states were received by President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, reports the MFA press service.
