EM suggests celebrating May 25 as Human Rights Day
The European Movement in Armenia hails the authorities' decision to declare a general amnesty.
"The decision was of historic significance for Armenia. On May 25, Armenia entered a new stage of human rights development. Backing out of the decision may lead to devastating consequences," the Movement said in a statement.
The European Movement suggests celebrating May 25 as National Holiday of Human Rights and says it will enable future generations to avoid past mistakes.
