Armenian batteries for all cars
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today visited the Armenian-German Elbat battery-producing company in Yerevan.
The head of government toured the company's production units and laboratories and got acquainted with the production. During the tour, the Prime Minister was introduced to the supervision of quality during preparation of products at the production units with the latest technologies, as well as the chemical and electro-automatic laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.
The Armenian-German Elbat company produces lead-acid accumulator batteries for almost all types of cars.
The company has production units for alligation, preparing and embedding paste; preparing, forming and gathering electrolite, as well as clearing and processing air and water. With the purpose of overseeing quality, the company has laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment for experiments. In May 2011, Quality Austria granted Elbat the ISO 9001:2008 international certificate for Quality Management. The company currently has 145 employees of which 90 are part of the major and supporting production units.
The accumulator battery-producing company was exploited on November 23, 2010.
