"I will not be the fourth potential Armenian presidential candidate," leader of "Heritage" Party Raffi Hovannisian announced today.

Who do you see as Armenia's future president? In response, Hovannisian said there are hundreds of Armenian men and women who have the potential to become president.

During today's press conference, Raffi Hovannisian said "Heritage" Party's May 21 civil assembly would be a milestone for the party.

"It will be a very important milestone because that debate will clarify the solutions for the current challenges facing the society. May 21 will be interesting in that there will be an open public discourse. The future of Armenia is linked to Armenians' concerns over the constitution, laws and daily life. There are no big or small issues," said Hovannisian.

Touching upon the rumors that "Heritage" is holding secret meetings with other forces and is trying to form an alliance to be headed by Robert Kocharyan, Raffi Hovannisian said he didn't believe in behind-the-scenes meetings.

"There have not been such meetings. There has just been a meeting with civil, non-governmental and political interlocutors."

Hovannisian also added that "Heritage" doesn't have any objective to form an alliance or create a polar on its agenda.
