Smoking is strictly prohibited
Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan adopted a decision "On Restrictions on Smoking in Public Restaurants of Yerevan and a Ban on the Smoking in Public Transportation".
The decision prohibits the use of cigarettes in public transportation (city transportation) in Yerevan. The municipality suggests that the Head of RA Road Patrol push efforts to control the use of cigarettes in public transportation and bring culprits to justice and assigns YerevanTrans CJSC to control the use of cigarettes in city and public transportation and the violation of obligations in the contract, as well as bring those who have permitted violations to justice.
The municipality suggests that public services of Yerevan set up special areas and zones for smokers.
