Relatives and friends of the six political prisoners remaining in Armenian prisons today held the 151st protest outside the Prosecutor General's Office.

They wish to see the political prisoners in freedom before the opposition's next rally to be held in Yerevan on May 31.

"The term "political prisoner" should be eradicated. We have been dreaming about it since 1988. We long to create a society in which there are no political prisoners," said Sona Muradyan.

As usual, the protesters addressed a letter to the Prosecutor General with a demand to release the political prisoners.

"So far, we have received no answer from the Prosecutor's Office. I think we needn't expect changes as long as the acting regime rules the country," said Muradyan.

The relatives are going to take their letters back. They say that the letters are attached to the criminal cases of the political prisoners, which they find impermissible since "the political prisoners are not criminals."
