Armenia’s envoy to UN addresses letter to Secretary-General
Armenia's permanent representative to the United National Organization, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan has addressed a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in reply to the recent statement issued by an Azerbaijani representative to the UN.
In the letter, Karen Nazaryan refers to Azerbaijan's attempts to spread misinformation and use a child's life as a tool of propaganda.
Azerbaijan had better abandon provocations along the line of contact which threaten peace and stability in the region. Similar actions violate the ceasefire agreement reached between Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia in 1994, reads the letter.
It goes on saying that Azerbaijan must respect calls of UN Secretary General and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to remove snipers from the line of contact.
