Statement by the MFA
The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs views the murder of Artsakh civilian Arayik Balasanyan as a provocation.
"Azerbaijan undertook another provocation in the Karabakh conflict zone by killing Artsakh civilian Arayik Balasanyan, while he was working with a tractor. The provocation comes on the eve of the 17th anniversary of the establishment of ceasefire.
With such steps, Azerbaijan not only goes against the logic of the peace process, but also strives to maintain the tension at the line of contact, thus preventing the settlement of the issue on the basis of the proposals of the international community," said spokesman of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan.
