The parliament today rejected the ARF faction's draft law on making amendments in the RA law "On the Minimum Consumer Basket and the Minimum Budget", which proposed to set the price of the minimum consumer basket at 60,000 drams.

Before the vote, head of the Republican faction Galust Sahakyan announced that though the draft law was very inviting, the parliament shouldn't forget about the resources and the possibilities. Sahakyan informed parliamentarians that the coalition has decided not to participate in a draft law vote and only the opposition MPs present in the hall voted for the draft law, which is in the society's interest and of social significance. The draft law was rejected with 17 for, 0 against and 2 neutral due to lack of a quorum.
