The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Marie Yovanovitch, who completes her diplomatic mission in Armenia in summer, refrains from commenting on her activity.

In reply to A1+, Yovanovich said, "I am still working in Armenia, I am not leaving the country now."

The U.S. Ambassador says said that even though the society often sees her at public meetings, the major part of work in Armenia is carried out by the embassy staff.

"On can always do one's best. We shall continue to work for the Armenian people, government and, why not, for the private sector," she said.

Upon completion of her mission, Marie Yovanovitch will return to Washington to assume the duties of U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Northern and Central Europe.

Yovanovitch was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia in September 2008.
