The hearing into the suits of chief editor of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikol Pashinyan against Kosh penitentiary was set to take place in Artik penitentiary on May 6.

Pashinyan demands that the Administrative Court overrule the Sept. 28, 2010 and Nov. 16, 2010 decisions of Kosh prison chief which imposed disciplinary penalty on Pashinyan.

The trial of one of the suits was adjourned for an indefinite period. The other lawsuit will be heard later in the day.

Journalists were again prohibited from entering the court building with cameras and photos. Further, Judge Robert Sargsyan sustained Pashinyan's motion to permit filming and photographing the court sitting.

Nikol Pashinyan was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for organizing the "mass disturbances" that followed the disputed presidential elections in 2008 which left ten people killed in downtown Yerevan.
