On April 29, Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle.

Minister Nalbandian noted that the integration with the European family is one of the pivotal directions of Armenia's foreign policy and underlined that the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union expands and reinforces year by year

Štefan Füle, in turn, hailed the dynamically developing relations between Armenia and the European Union, noting that the launch of the Eastern neighborhood shifted the Armenia-EU relations to a qualitatively new level.

The interlocutors discussed the programs implemented under the Eastern Partnership program, the negotiations on the Association Agreement, facilitation of the visa regime and confirmation of a comprehensive free trade zone.

The reforms underway in Armenia were also on the agenda.

With regard to the Karabakh issue, the parties stressed that there is no alternative to the peaceful and negotiated solution based on the principles of international law.
