Politics

Today's ANC rally started with a speech by Chairman of the Board of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) Aram Manukyan. In his speech, Manukyan mentioned that the will and the united struggle of the Armenian people were fruitful.

"Freedom Square is free for any oppositionist. It is a podium for free speech, a holy hearth that was finally liberated after 3 years," said Manukyan.

Aram Manukyan also touched upon the current pressures, mentioning that microbus drivers were not allowed to transfer citizens from the provinces to Yerevan, opposition representatives were taken to police headquarters and were kept there for hours.

"But they have all been released and at the square," Aram Manukyan said in closing.

Next up to speak was actor Ashot Adamyan who touched upon emigration and mentioned that people are emigrating because they see no perspective.

"We are regressing in all spheres," said the actor.
