Tamar Poghosyan to tender her resignation
The dispute between Tamar Poghosyan, executive director of One Nation, One Culture Foundation and Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan is finally resolved.s
During today's press conference Poghosyan said she would hand in her resignation on Thursday as she found it inexpedient to continue the struggle.
Tamar Poghosyan had accused Hranush Hakobyan of "money laundering" which was vehemently denied by the Diaspora Minister. Poghosyan had addressed letters to Armenian President, Prime Minister, and Prosecutor's Office calling their attention to the case.
She decided to stop the struggle after receiving a biased conclusion from the Prime Minister's control service whereby they suggested that the compliant be addressed to the Minister of Diaspora.
"This is a closed chain: I was sent to the person I was complaining of. Knowing the ins and outs of the Armenian government I was unable to break through it. Any complaint will have the same fate unless the government changes its attitude," said Poghosyan.
The Diaspora Ministry recently accused Tamar Poghosyan of abusing her powers as the executive director of One Nation, One Culture Foundation.
