Another action near government building
Support A1+!President of "Property Rights Protection" NGO Vachagan Hakobyan welcomed the RA Human Rights Defender's step during an ensuing action held near the government building today.
RA Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan yesterday released a report on a study based on appeals filed by residents of the sale zone. In the report it is stated that the Armenian government has left the restoration of the residents' rights unsolved.
It is particularly stated that the European Court has reached verdicts against the Republic of Armenia which put Armenia's international reputation at risk.
Head of the National Assembly's "Heritage" faction Stepan Safaryan, who was also at the government building today, told "A1+" that "Heritage" has appealed for the restoration of citizens' rights several times, but the appeals have remained unanswered.
Mr. Safaryan also informed that human rights were violated by the government's permission and that courts are fulfilling the government's demand.
The parents of soldiers who died in peace were also near the government building. They have no hope for any progress during the current government's tenure.
The nearly 25 participants of today's action were under the supervision of over 40 police officers, who were impeding journalists' activities from time to time.
